Kickoff is built for young athletes and their parents, so safety and privacy come first. Here’s exactly what we do, and what we don’t.
Kickoff has no GPS or location tracking of any kind. The only “location” in the app is whether a workout is at the field, gym, or home. That’s training context, not where your player physically is. We never collect, store, or share your player’s whereabouts.
Kickoff shows no advertising and contains no third-party ad or cross-app tracking software. We do not sell your personal information or share it with advertisers. We only share data with the service providers that run the app (like our database and payment processors), and only as needed to operate it.
Card and payment information is handled directly by Apple and Stripe, industry-standard processors. Kickoff never sees or stores your card number.
Messages to the AI Coach are used to generate a response in real time and are not retained by Kickoff. The one exception: if the Coach can’t answer something, we log that question, not linked to your identity, so we can improve our content.
Food guidance is age-appropriate: practical, everyday advice on what and when to eat around training and games, with no calorie counting and no weigh-ins for kids. It’s educational, not medical advice, and we always encourage talking to a physician or dietitian for individual needs.
Every plan is scaled to your player’s age, includes proper warm-ups and recovery, and is built to be done solo without risky maximal loads. We remind players to get medical clearance before starting and to stop if something hurts.
Kickoff is built to be used with a parent or guardian’s consent, and the parent is responsible for a minor’s account. You can access, correct, or delete your account and personal data at any time.
Information is encrypted in transit and protected by database-level access controls, so your account’s data can only be read by your account. No system is perfectly secure, but we use industry-standard measures to safeguard it.
